I read you can spread the rouge across your face? How?
Originally by: Whitehound And can I get some make-up tips from the girls, please?
* DON'T use too dark lipstick!! It makes you look like an old crow (unless that's your intention), especially if you have a pale skin! It spoils like 3 out of 10 characters I've seen thus far, if not more. * Both lighter eyebrows and darker hair or very dark eyebrows and very light hair looks very unnatural (unless that's your intention).

Originally by: Whitehound You may also want to think ahead, think Incarna and walking in stations. Here is another tip: look at the back of your avatar and check your butt.
.. and if the pants you have make you look fat!
It's true, we all focus on portraits but in some (6-12-18-24?) months time we'll have to show the rest too, unless you'll avoid stations (but your presence may be requirred in the tactical room of your corp office).
Your portrait may look decent with the correct lightning and background and such but in the end that will be removed once you set foot in a station .. not looking forward to that, bleh! It will definitely remove a lot of the uniqueness your portrait can generate, you'll basically see a lot of the same height people with a lot of the same hairstyles.

I dedided to rework my portrait now it was still possible as all the other characters turned out to look better the second time around.
I don't the portrait looks better than the old one, a bit less agressive perhaps - but her skin and hair (the patch apparently added a darker blonde option) match better now, she has better eyebrows too so when Incarna is released (once upon a time) I'll be happier with walking in stations.
Thanks for the tips!
